Reading Activity

As part of the school initiatives to make reading as a culture in school and in heightened the pupils' interest towards reading books, the pupils are encouraged to show-off their impressive ability in reading. Pupils from each level, even from the pre-school level are given chances to present their reading skills in front of the other students during the assembly every morning voluntarily. Just this morning, we had 3 pupils from Pra Kuning and 1 pupil from Year 1. It's amazing how pupils as young as them are able to read very well with perfect intonation and pronunciation. It sure does gives a whole lot of challenges to the other pupils especially for the Upper Primary. An activity like this will be continuously done for it helps in increasing pupils' progress.

Wednesday, 3rd March, 2010. Our school had a battle with SR Ukong at Padang SR Muda Hashim. Unfortunately, we lost the game and managed to score 1 and SR Ukong got 7 points. However, we still would like to congratulate our school team and also to our committed new coach, Cikgu Zahirah for the effort shown during the competition. A credit goes to all the supporters who showed up as well. Eventhough this is not our year, we are positive that we will do better next year. We lost this year, but we will never let our school spirit down. Strive to do better and the word 'give up' is NOT in our dictionary. Let's work harder next year..

The Next S.R.T.T's Actors and Actresses

This morning an audition was held at the school's library for selecting actors and actresses for a drama play Tunas Mekar Bagi Sekolah-sekolah Rendah organised by the Counselling Unit, Department of School. The theme of the play is "Sopan Santun Budaya Kita".

Many pupils from different Year came in eagerly for the audition. The audition casts offered for this play are:

• A father
• A mother
• A leader
• A tourist
• A poor person
• A friend
• A neighbour
• A teacher
• A good person

The name list for those who are selected for the above mentioned casts will be displayed at the school's notice board soon.

"Negaraku Brunei Darussalam"

In conjunction with Negara Brunei Darussalam's 26th National Day, Sekolah Rendah Tumpuan Telisai held a mini celebration this morning to commemorate the country's big day.

The guest of honor for this event was S.R.T.T's Headmaster, Cikgu Mohmad Ali Bin Hj Nudin.
