Ministry of
Industry and Primary Resource in collaboration with Sakam Enterprise had
organized a series of Educational field trips as part of the ongoing
activities during Brunei's first Nature's Festival.
30
selected students; Telisai Avengers had the opportunity to participate
in the first field trip to the 'Marine Biodiversity Centre' which was
located at the Meragang Beach.
The
field trip aims to give the students opportunity to get up close to the
marine life in Brunei. Students will also be able to understand more
about the need to conserve these marine treasures especially the
exquisite corals and the gentle turtles that we have.

Amazingly, Brunei actually has a diverse species of corals; 400 species to be exact. Pilong Rock houses abundant, vibrant corals that are home to various fishes and sea creatures such as the clown fish, the dory and the angel fish.

These corals are basically white because they have been extracted from the sea and then bleached for specimens.
