BELTA Competition was conducted at Sekolah Rendah Keriam, Tutong I on the 20th November 2008. 20 schools from the district had participated in the competition. Each school was only invited to send a maximum of 2 contestants. The battle on spelling was divided into 3 rounds. However one of our pupils, Nurul Afiqah only managed to get into the second round but she's in the top ten spellers. Meanwhile, Nurul Fatin competed until the final round. Congratulations to her for being one of the finalist and in getting the 5th position.

Talk on Public Fire Safety & Preventation Education Centre

This talk was held at SR Tumpuan Telisai hall on 18th November 2008.


Our invited speaker Dackson Yap showed some pictures on how victims could be saved from fire......


Our 2nd invited speaker Mrs Nuraziah bt Awg Tengah made a demonstration.

Mr. Dackson gave some advices to teachers and pupils on how to prevent fire.

10 Ways to prevent fire:

1.Fit smoke alarms and make sure they have a BS kitemark. Test monthly and change batteries annually.
2.Chip-pan fires are the most frequent type of fire - take care and never leave the stove unattended.
3.Always use a proper candleholder, and keep candles away from draughts, or anything flammable.
4.Keep portable heaters away from furniture, furnishings and flammable items, and switch them off every time you leave the house.
5.Buy a fixed fire guard to place around an open fire.
6.Don't use a hot or sparking power tool, and don't leave a soldering iron, or any DIY equipment on and unattended.
7.At night, before you go to bed, unplug all electrical items not in use.
8.Always use correctly rated fuses in all electrical appliances.
9.Avoid using multi-way plug socket adapters, if possible.
10.Never run electrical cables/leads under carpets

Happy Monday Morning

Happy Monday morning~Today they are many smiley faces among the teachers and the pupils because of the PSR result~flying colours , 100% passes. Applause for the Primary 6 pupils.

Our excellent achiever is Nurul Fatin Binti Hanape who managed to get 5As from Primary 6 Berjaya.

2D Animation

Five teachers from Tutong II primary schools had been pre-selected by the Committee members of Headmaster/Headmistress & the Deputy to attend a two day workshop on the TAB sotware. It was presented by Mr. John Chia from Singapore at Sekolah Rendah Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Mohd Yusof, Lorong 3, Seria . After attending the workshop, they were asked to share what they have learned to other schools in Tutong II. The sharing session was held on the 8th November, 2008 (Saturday). Three representatives from each primary school were invited to participate and to have an overview on how they can incorporate the software to subjects taught in school.
