STUDENT'S PRODUCTS EXPO

17th November (Saturday)

 

5 selected pupils from year 2 (Balqis and Dillah), Year 3 (Hidayah) and Year 4 (Qamarul and Dk. Saiyidahtul) represented the school in the expo.

 

The expo aims to showcase pupils creative craft creations. Such exposure also promotes entrepreneurship amongst the younger generation. 

 

All the products showcased and sold during the day were fully produced by the pupils. The pupils are actively involved in the preparation process and selling of the products.

 

The response from customers was very good. Some of the items sold were; cupcakes, Mario pudding (Marie + Oreo), drinks as well as crafts; picture frames, jewellery boxes and key chains.

The pupils spent their holiday preparing for the expo. The whole morning spent on baking the cupcakes, preparing the puddings and putting the final touch on all the crafts that they have prepared the day before.

VISIT TO THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN

12th November 2012 (Tuesday)

Four classes (Year 1 Cekal, Year 1 Cekap, Year 2 Cergas and Year 2 Cerdik) went for an educational visit to the Butterfly Garden at Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park.


The visit aims to give the students the chance to learn more about butterfly, observing the delicate beautiful insect in their natural environment.

It was an interesting trip and the students were overjoyed to have a closer look at the butterfly in all the stages of their life cycle. 

Apart from that, the students get to see for themselves the various floras and faunas (plants and animals) that grows and live in the park.

"Taman Kulimambang of the Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park, Tutong was officially opened by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair, this morning. In conjunction with the launching of the garden, a Children Story Book entitled, Si Kelabang was launched. Also present was the son of His Royal Highness Prince Mohamad Bolkiah, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Omar Ali, Curator of Natural History who is also the Manager of Tasik Merimbun Heritage Park"
